Welcome to Our Kid's CornerThis little nook of our website is dedicated to the Meyer kids, Daniel and Luke. Growing up in Ecuador is a unique experience for our little MK's (Missionary Kids). We hope you enjoy getting to know them better. Daniel
Daniel was born in St. Louis during our support raising phase of our Ecuador ministry. He was 8 months old when we left for a year of language school in Costa Rica. Like a lot of MK's, he's been through a lot of moves in his short life, but he loves our new house and our new friends in Cayambe. His Spanish vocabulary is growing almost daily. Of course his blonde hair and light skin make him very popular everywhere we go. Adjusting to life as a big brother is a challenge for him, but he loves his baby brother very much. He's always trying to 'help" out around the house. He especially likes Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine, Winnie the Pooh, and going pretty much anywhere Daddy goes. Luke
Luke joined us in this world on June 27. He weighed 8lbs. 4oz. and measured 20" long. Being born in Quito means that he will grow up with dual citizenship, Ecuadorian and American. His main activities right now involve sleeping, eating, crying and pooping (not necessarily in that order). This little guy won't set foot in the USA until he's three years old. We are looking forward to watching him grow and develop into who God wants him to be. |
