CrossWorld Team

CrossWorld is more than just a mission agency.  It is a family.  As part of CrossWorld’s ministry efforts around the globe, we are surrounded by a group of individuals committed to the three values of the organization: We Worship, We Love and We go.  This attitude is lived out in our organization from the President to the Office Administrators.  We are blessed to be a part of an organization so focused on fulfilling the Great Commission in the 21st Century.

Cayambe Team

We consider ourselves privileged to be part of a diverse local ministry team.  The Cayambe team is the realization of the church in El Quinche’s vision to plant churches in the canton of Cayambe.  As such, the team is an outreach ministry of the church in El Quinche.  As CrossWorld church-planters, we are working in partnership with the local church to help them realize their goals.  Our role in the team is to provide ministry experience, theological training, logistical aid, and a physical presence in Cayambe.  Our Ecuadorian partners provide cultural insight, national leadership, and a national presence.  The combination of our God-given gifts and abilities has proven to be a very successful combination in the church-planting ministry.  Each member of our team brings a unique skill set.  Please pray for us as we work together to fulfill the Great Commission in Cayambe.

Pablo Aguirre

Pablo is Dave’s Ecuadorian counterpart in the project.  He brings to the team much experience with kids clubs and youth groups, as well as a gift of evangelism.  He is the evangelist on our team.  His talents with the guitar, puppets, skits and other performance arts make him the ideal Ecuadorian missionary to partner with.  Pablo and his wife, Lourdes, are currently committed to work part-time in the project until they are able to transition into becoming full-time missionaries.

Lourdes Herrera

Pablo’s wife, Lourdes, is a gifted teacher.  She work especially with the children.  She shares the teaching responsibilities with Brenda in the kids clubs.  She has a passion to reach ladies as well and plays a key role in starting cell groups.

Estéfany Aguirre

Estéfani, Pablo and Lourdes’ teen daughter, is a very gifted young lady who is a great help to our team.  She provides a positive example and a presence of leadership among the youth.  She’s also extremely talented in performing puppets and skits, and teaches in Kids Club and Children’s Church.  This young lady is quickly developing into a great servant of God.

Gissela Simbaña

Gissela joined the team in 2008 as a full-time national missionary from the association of churches we work with.  She comes from the church in the town of Puembo.  As a graduate of Word of Life in Argentina, and having worked in her home church for many years, she brings a great deal of experience and expertise to our team.  She is full of energy and has a passion for the ministry.  She has been truly a “God-send” to our team.

David Meyer

David provides the organizational skills and teaching that is needed to help the existing Ecuadorian team realize their vision of planting a church in Cayambe.  David brings resources and skills that are valuable in the teaching ministries and in the practical needs such as transportation, resources from the US and a representative from the team living in Cayambe itself. David and Pablo are focusing on reaching older youth and adults.

Brenda Meyer

Brenda’s gift for teaching has created a great compliment for Lourdes and Gissela as they tag-team teaching children and ladies.  She is also exercising her gift of hospitality as the Meyer home becomes home base for the Cayambe team. Her organizational skills are also always at work behind the scenes in preparing craft projects, song sheets and schedules.

Home Team

Our ministry with CrossWorld in Ecuador is dependant on a strong home team.  We are looking for people who are ready to be a part of that team both prayerfully and financially.  Prayer partners are the spiritual lifeline for the missionary.  They can go before God on our behalf.  The prayers of men and women on the home front make a dramatic difference on the field.  God uses people to accomplish His work.  Prayer is one tool in our work that must not be neglected.  Being a prayer partner gives you an opportunity to be right in the work with us.  Our responsibility is to keep you informed so that you can be praying specifically and effectively.  The miracle of the internet makes contact between a missionary and his prayer team almost instantaneous.  If you would like to be a part of this vital ministry please let us know by sending us an Email describing your intentions.  Once you have done so, you will start receiving brief E-mail correspondence for specific prayer needs.  Thank you for being an active part of our ministry through your prayers.
